Throughout the months of June and July 2012, experience the freshest and tastiest seafood in town as Chynna presents the Daily Catch promotion. Seafood caught from the Strait of Malacca is sent to the restaurant daily for award winning Chef Lam Hock Hin to prepare an unforgettable meal.

With a daily delivery of fishes such as the grouper, pomfret and snapper, catches from the straits are a known delicacy in Malaysia. The light, flaky and flavourful nature of the seafood is due to the character of the Malaccan Straits, where they are predominantly found very deep and close to the seabed.

A seafood bar is displayed at the entrance of Chynna and customers can choose their favourite seafood to be cooked in any style they prefer. “These fishes are as fresh as they come so cooking time is relatively short. I usually recommend for these seafood to be steamed of wok-fried,” says Chef Lam, Executive Chef of Chynna.

Among the recommended dishes are the Steamed Kaci with Spicy Tamarind Chilli Sauce, Wok Fried Sliced Snapper with Yellow Chives, Duo of Pomfret Rolled Pomfret with Enoki Mushrooms and Stir Fried Pomfret with Sun-Dried Chilli and Fragrant Cashews. The menu is also changed on a daily basis based on the availability of the fishes.
